In the winter of 2015, we began the journey of transforming a collection of old rental rooms into what would become IridaChic Elegant Boutique Hotel in Crete.
With deep respect for the original architecture and materials, we preserved the traditional Cretan charm while introducing a refined, modern aesthetic. Our goal was to create more than just a hotel—we envisioned a space that would offer a sensorial experience through thoughtful design and heartfelt hospitality.
Throughout the process, we honored the indigenous landscape. Native flora, like the carob and lemon trees, were not only preserved but became central to the layout and identity of the property. A beautiful example is the lemon trees that now define the tranquil area surrounding the smaller swimming pools.
The restoration was a collaboration with skilled local craftsmen, whose artistry helped bring our vision to life. Their dedication ensured that IridaChic would become a place of both high-end comfort and cultural authenticity.
